What’s the Difference Between UVA + UVB Damage?
Protection from UV radiation is an essential step in maintaining skin health. Two types of UV rays, ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB), penetrate the atmosphere and can accelerate visible signs of aging and increase the risk of skin cancer.
UVA rays are associated with accelerated aging and can penetrate through windows and clouds.
UVB rays damage the outer layer of skin, causing redness, blistering, and increasing the risk of cancer.
To decrease the risk of the damage from rays, apply Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 daily.
"I love Physical Fusion because it is so easy to apply and does not clog up the skin or feel and look too heavy. The tint also gives it a nice smoothing effect on the skin. It is so easy to apply, and so effective in protecting the skin from sun damage, that I also use it daily on my three children.”

Mineral sunscreen is also called physical sunscreen. It includes filters like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that create a barrier on the skin’s surface to reflect the sun’s rays away from skin—providing broad-spectrum protection against damage caused by UVA and UVB rays (especially when used with other sun-protection measures).
Physical Fusion UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50 is a mineral sunscreen. Physical and mineral sunscreens are the same because they utilize physical mineral barriers to provide broad spectrum sun protection by deflecting the sun’s harmful UVA/UVB rays.
Yes. Zinc Oxide is found in mineral (also called physical) sunscreens and is considered safe and effective, even when applied to sensitive skin.
While zinc oxide is very effective as a physical barrier to the sun’s damaging rays, it is an astringent which can be drying to the skin. If dry skin is a concern, look for sunscreens that have hydrating ingredients, such as glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides.
Tinted sunscreens are mineral-based, broad-spectrum sunscreens that contain a blend of pigments that add a sheer tint and adapt to your natural skin tone, without causing a white cast.
Absolutely. A daily-use facial sunscreen can help prevent sun damage that contributes to premature signs of aging, as well as protect skin from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays. Tinted sunscreen contains pigments that adapt to your skin tone without causing a white cast, making it a good choice to wear under makeup or on its own for a sheer tint.
