What is PITERA™ SK-II’s proprietary, natural bio-ingredient derived from fermentation. It improves multiple dimensions of visible skin damage and aging. It is made exclusively in Japan for SK-II.
PITERA™ Origin: In the 1970s, SK-II scientists noticed the hands of elderly Japanese sake brewers looked decades younger than their age.
Realizing the brewers’ hands were immersed in fermented sake “mash” for hours a day, the scientists wondered if something in the fermentation process kept the skin looking younger. Further research into this process led to the discovery of PITERA™, a naturally derived liquid from yeast fermentation.
What’s Makes PITERA™ Unique: PITERA™ contains over 50 micro-nutrients including antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to nourish and improve your skin from multiple dimensions, reducing visible skin damage.
Gently spread the mask over your face.
Worth the Wait
Leave on for 5-15 minutes for the essence to fully absorb into your skin.
Ready, Set, Glow
Remove and discard mask, then massage the remaining essence into your skin. You can also wipe off or rinse off any excess residue afterwards.
